Biography
Sopheap Choeung is one half of one of the power couples of Cambodia, along with husband Senator Lao Meng Khin. Also known as Yeay Phou, Choeung is a shareholder in controversial company Pheapimex, which owns 7% of the land resources in Cambodia from its logging operations. She also is a shareholder and chairman of Shukaku Inc, a company that was involved in developing the Boeung Kak Lake area of Phnom Penh and who have partnered Graticity Real Estate Development Ltd in the One Park development.
Choeung is connected to Wang Yaohui via her shareholding Asia Pacific Energy Holding (Singapore) Pte Ltd, a company which part owns Cambodia Natural Gas Corp and has Vong Pech as a director.
