BSH – Accounts Analysis 2019

Birmingham Sports Holdings today announced to the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong their financial results for the year ending June 30, 2019. The results make for some grim reading, with another huge loss made by the company despite a fairly heavy cut in operating expenses.

BCFC: Moving On

Former Birmingham City manager Garry Monk was appointed boss of Sheffield Wednesday on Friday. The 40-year-old takes over from caretaker boss Lee Bullen, who will remain at the club as assistant manager to Monk. Monk’s arrival at Hillsborough will finally bring some answers to questions following his departure from Blues.

BCFC: Under Pressure

A header from Lukas Jutkiewicz along with a massively deflected effort from teenager wunderkind Jude Bellingham gave Birmingham City a 2-1 win over Stoke City at St Andrew’s on Saturday.

Hiatus

After a lot of thought over the last few weeks, I’ve decided to put almajir.net into hiatus for the foreseeable future. The last few months have been extraordinarily taxing for me and with the need to complete my second book now urgent, I think it’s wise for me to take a step back.

Editorial: Patience

July comes to an end today and the new season is a matter of days away. After all the upheaval at St Andrew’s this summer, Blues will face Brentford this weekend in what should be their last ever league meeting at Griffin Park. Are Blues ready for it?

BCFC: The Spanish Connection part II – Guzman and Medina

Birmingham City announced on Sunday that both of the Spanish players that they had taken on tour with the club to Portugal have been signed. Both Agustin “Agus” Medina and Ivan Guzman have signed two year deals with the club, but 28 year old Guzman will be immediately loaned out to UE Cornella for the season.

BSH: Lottery Win?

Birmingham Sports Holdings today confirmed in a voluntary announcement to the Hong Kong stock exchange that they have entered into an agreement to buy a Chinese lottery company. The announcement confirmed that the new company should guarantee a profit of around £3million for BSH over the next three years.

BCFC: Pravda

With no independent media sources on Blues’ current trip to Portugal, fans are increasingly reliant on the official club media channels for news on what is happening. While it’s good to hear news directly from the source, judging by the replies to recent posts there seems to be an increasing feeling that it’s not enough.

BCFC: The Spanish Connection

Blues announced on Saturday the addition of Francisco “Paco” Herrera to the coaching staff at St Andrews. The 65-year-old comes to Birmingham City with a wealth of experience at clubs in Spain, along with a spell as assistant manager, chief analyst and scout for Rafa Benitez at Liverpool.

BSH: Not For Sale

The rumour season is once again in full swing on social media, with rumours not just of impending incomings and exits at Blues but talk of potential changes in ownership. None of these rumours have any basis in fact as it stands – I wrote this article to explain why Blues won’t be sold any time soon.
