BCFC: Competence

Birmingham City ended a run of seven consecutive defeats with a convincing 3-0 victory over fellow strugglers Hull City. Goals from Jota (2) and Adams were enough to complete a first victory for Garry Monk while the defence held out for their first Championship clean sheet in 11 games.

BCFC: Directors 101

One of the more interesting things to emerge for me during the managerial change at Birmingham City last week was the number of Blues fans who were unsure as to who could actually make the decision to remove Steve Cotterill. With this in mind, I’ve put together this article outlining the Birmingham City board in full to try to offer a better insight into just who wields the power.

BCFC: The Broken Axis

A while back on this website I termed three members of the “inner circle” the axis of incompetence for the way I felt that they were running affairs at the club. I’m given to understand that the axis has lost two members with both Darren Dein and Jeff Vetere losing their influence on the club.

BCFC: Time To Talk

BCFC – Gong Xi Fa Cai

Birmingham City embraced the culture of the club’s ownership this weekend with a celebration of the Chinese New Year at St Andrew’s, complete with “red pockets” given out to fans entering the stadium.

BCFC: FFP D-Day

March 1st might not seem that important a date in the football calendar – after all, it’s a Thursday night and Blues won’t be playing that day. However, it is a day that could tell us a lot about Blues future in the next 12 months – and all because of those three dreaded letters, FFP.

BCFC: Demand Better

Birmingham City capped off a fairly horrible week on Sunday, capitulating to a 2-0 loss in the Second City Derby. Sam Gallagher was unlucky not to put the team ahead in the first half but Blues showed a lack of fight until injury time when Cheikh Ndoye was sent off for a second yellow card after lashing out at John Terry.

BSH: Loss Warning

Birmingham Sports Holdings today confirmed in an announcement to the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong a warning of a substantial increase in loss in the interim accounts which are due to be published at the end of February.

BCFC: A Good Week

Saturday saw Birmingham City lift themselves to 19th in the Championship table after comfortably beating nine-man Sheffield Wednesday 3-1 at Hillsborough. The result means Blues now lie more than three points from the relegation places and within touching distance of lower mid-table.
