Birmingham City lifted themselves off the foot of the Championship table with a 2-0 win over Reading on Tuesday night. It marked their first away win in 13 attempts in the League and the first time they had scored twice in a league game since their 2-1 win over Bristol City in August.
Birmingham City lie in 22nd place, they haven’t won in four and have scored just one goal under the reign of Steve Cotterill. As joys and sorrows go, this is about as sorrowful as you can get.

Equatoguinean international right-back Emilio Nsue has been joined by Turkey international winger Kerim Frei and talented left-back Cheick Keita as Blues have gone continental in their purchases. Excitement levels have risen considerably – no small thanks to nature of these signings.
