Saturday saw Birmingham City lift themselves to 19th in the Championship table after comfortably beating nine-man Sheffield Wednesday 3-1 at Hillsborough. The result means Blues now lie more than three points from the relegation places and within touching distance of lower mid-table.

Birmingham City lifted themselves off the foot of the Championship table with a 2-0 win over Reading on Tuesday night. It marked their first away win in 13 attempts in the League and the first time they had scored twice in a league game since their 2-1 win over Bristol City in August.

Excitement levels have risen considerably – no small thanks to nature of these signings.
