Birmingham City’s accounts for the year ending June 30, 2019 became available at Companies House on Tuesday. Once again they made for some grim reading, although there have been some improvements in revenues and amount of loss made.

Birmingham Sports Holdings today held their Annual General Meeting in Hong Kong to approve their accounts and re-elect directors to the board.

There has been a lot of focus on the people running Birmingham City in recent weeks as the pressure on Head Coach Pep Clotet has grown. With this in mind I thought it would be good to take a proper look at who the is on the board at Blues, to aid understanding of just what is going on and who would be the one to make a decision.
BCFC: Who is Bernard Sun?
Bernard Sun made history as Birmingham City’s first Chinese-born player to sign for the club when he penned a two-year contract on September 2. Since being unveiled in a blaze of publicity including full video interview, Sun has barely been heard of since.

Birmingham City’s midweek away trip to Hillsborough was spiced up by some social media shenanigans on Tuesday afternoon. After a spiky conference where Sheffield Wednesday boss Garry Monk took aim at his former no 2 and current Blues Caretaker Head Coach Pep Clotet, Birmingham City’s Twitter account returned fire with an equally spicy tweet.

Blues held their most recent quarterly supporters’ forum on November 7th. Selected supporters and supporters groups were invited to St Andrew’s to ask questions of staff about the way the club is run.
BCFC: Sign of Good Things To Come
Radio silence on potential incoming transfers for Blues broke yesterday thanks to an Instagram story posted by Saint-Etienne player (and former Blues target) Lois Diony. The picture of Jeremie Bela holding up a shirt with his name and number on has caused a buzz since it was shared by Blues fans on Twitter.
BCFC: Keep the Faith
A 1-0 defeat to Leeds United on Saturday meant that Blues lie 12th in the Championship, nine points behind leaders West Bromwich Albion and five points behind sixth-placed Preston. With about a quarter of the season now gone, the big question is if Blues can mount the promotion push desired by the club’s owners.
Editorial: Some Other Mou Mou
A third successive defeat in the Championship has left many fans including myself feeling that it could be the end for Pep Clotet. The luck Blues enjoyed in the early games appears to have run out and the imbalances within the squad have been left brutally exposed.
BCFC: Moving On
Former Birmingham City manager Garry Monk was appointed boss of Sheffield Wednesday on Friday. The 40-year-old takes over from caretaker boss Lee Bullen, who will remain at the club as assistant manager to Monk. Monk’s arrival at Hillsborough will finally bring some answers to questions following his departure from Blues.
