BSH: The Elusive Mr King – Part 4

Previously on almajir.net, I have written about Wang Yaohui aka “Mr King” and his connections with various shareholders in Birmingham Sports Holdings along with the company chairman Zhao Wenqing.

BCFC: Time To Talk

Four defeats on the spin and once again, things seem to be looking grim at St Andrew’s. In just a couple of weeks I’ve seen people going from offering public apologies to manager Steve Cotterill to demanding his head once again.

BCFC – Gong Xi Fa Cai

Birmingham City embraced the culture of the club’s ownership this weekend with a celebration of the Chinese New Year at St Andrew’s, complete with “red pockets” given out to fans entering the stadium.

BCFC: FFP D-Day

March 1st might not seem that important a date in the football calendar – after all, it’s a Thursday night and Blues won’t be playing that day. However, it is a day that could tell us a lot about Blues future in the next 12 months – and all because of those three dreaded letters, FFP.

BCFC: Demand Better

Birmingham City capped off a fairly horrible week on Sunday, capitulating to a 2-0 loss in the Second City Derby. I think it’s safe to say that the ownership situation at Birmingham City is still one of mystery to some people, judging by some of the questions I get asked via social media or email. With this in mind I wanted to put together an article answering the questions that get asked the most to help improve people’s understanding.

BCFC: The Disconnect

With less than a week left in the transfer window, it’s safe to say the mood around Birmingham City fans online is antsy. Blues are yet to bring in a player having released four, sold one and loaned out one and with the team still languishing in the relegation places it’s easy to understand why people are worried.

Who is Vong Pech?

In November 2017 Vong Pech became the second largest shareholder in Birmingham Sports Holdings when it was agreed by BSH shareholders to go ahead with the proposed school and office project in Cambodia.
