Hiatus

After a lot of thought over the last few weeks, I’ve decided to put almajir.net into hiatus for the foreseeable future. The last few months have been extraordinarily taxing for me and with the need to complete my second book now urgent, I think it’s wise for me to take a step back.

As much as I appreciate the kind words people have sent me in messages and emails, I promised myself I would only write while I wanted to do so. I can honestly say right now that desire has disappeared.

As many will know, I have suffered with bipolar disorder for most of my life. While there are times that I feel like I can do anything, I also go through long spells of clinical depression where anything is a struggle.

I took up writing Often Partisan as something to focus on, never dreaming it would be as successful as it was. As time went on it became routine, but as the Carson era came to a close I hoped I could close OP off and move on to something new.

Alas, things have remained complicated at St Andrews and while I’ve stuck to talking mainly about ownership issues now, the pressure has returned as more and more people look to me for information. I’ve done my best to meet this demand but the stress on my mental health has shown in recent weeks and as such I have to take a step back for my own sake.

The site will remain up (as OP has) and I will potentially return to it at some point. However, I will not be updating it nor the associated social media pages for the time being.
